I am a specialist consultant family solicitor and mediator. I have many years’ experience in family law matters ranging from complex and high value divorce cases to straightforward divorces, financial disputes for married and unmarried couples, child contact and custody disputes, domestic abuse injunctions, nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
I have acted for a range of individuals to include professionals such as accountants, lawyers, doctors, house wives and husbands, mothers and fathers, and intervenors (third parties) which has contributed to my wealth of knowledge and experience.
I adopt an approach which is sensitive, cost-effective and pragmatic with a view to reaching a settlement at an early stage of the process, wherever possible. I listen and work with my clients at their pace, whether it involves taking decisive court action, attempting a negotiation outside of the court process, or engaging within the family mediation process.
Going through a relationship breakdown is often a difficult and stressful period in a client’s life, especially when they are juggling existing work and/or child commitments. I provide advice to make the process go as smoothly as possible and help my clients find a resolution for them and their family.
I afford meticulous attention to my cases. Working flexibly as a consultant for Spain Williams means that I can focus and prioritise client work. I put my clients at ease by working with them wherever it is convenient. That could be over Skype, in a meeting room at one of our offices, or at a client’s office.
I am featured in the Legal 500 as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ in the 2014 and 2015 editions. I have been a guest speaker for BBC Radio Kent on family law matters and written various articles for The Wealden Times, The Courier, Kent Life and Kings Hill Mums magazine.
I trained with and qualified at a specialist Legal 500 family law firm in London. After 6 years of working in London, I moved to the largest law firm in Kent where I spent 3 years as an Associate in the family team.
I am also a member of Resolution, which is an organisation for family solicitors who are committed to dealing with cases in a constructive and effective way.
