International child relocation is where a parent wishes to relocate overseas with a child either for a defined period of time or indefinitely. In order to take a child out of England and Wales the parent wishing to relocate must have the permission of the other parent or an order of the court. If the other parent does not consent it is necessary to make an application to the court for an order. This is known as a child relocation or leave to remove application.
